Discover the power of experiential learning with horses
In partnership with The Equus Effect (TEE), we invite veterans and first responders to join our upcoming cohorts, designed to help participants build self-awareness, manage emotions, and develop healthier relationships.
FINESSE VS. FORCE | RESPONSE VS. REACTION | CAPACITY VS. CONTROL
Horses are naturally sensitive to human emotions and intentions, making them incredible partners in this journey. Using ground-based horsemanship skills, we guide you through a hands-on experience to develop non-verbal communication skills, emotional agility, and tools to stay grounded in high-stress situations.

Objectives
Learn through an action-oriented, non-clinical program designed for anyone transitioning from high-stress environments to everyday life.
- Self-awareness & self-management: Discover how to manage triggers and difficult emotions with body-based practices & techniques.
- Healthy relationships: Build authentic connections by learning how to set boundaries without anger. Foster trust through clear, grounded communication.
- Non-verbal communication: Improve your ability to communicate through body language and intention.
- Emotional agility: Understand the messages behind your emotions and cultivate the ability to respond, not react, under pressure.
No previous experience with horses is required.
Benefits
- Learn how to manage stress and emotions in personal and professional life.
- Gain tools for better decision-making and clearer thinking.
- Improve sleep and emotional well-being.
- Strengthen relationships at home and work.
Horses are incredibly attuned to what’s happening inside of us — they respond to our energy, helping us cultivate self-management and resilience.
Their reactions are immediate, obvious, and non-judgmental, offering a unique opportunity to practice new skills and receive real-time feedback.
